Note: In recognition of the value of the living-learning experience associated with on-campus living and dining, the University of Alabama will require first-year freshman students to participate in the Freshman Residency Program and the Freshman Dining Program .

1 Rates are for full-time undergraduate campus students.  Full-time enrollment for undergraduate students is 12-16 hours per regular semester.  Hours above 16 incur additional tuition charges.  Includes all undergraduate students except those admitted to the Gadsden Campus or to a Distance Degree Program. 2 College/Course Fees - College or course fees are additional charges associated with a student's specific class enrollment for each term. College fees apply to any course offered by a college. Rates vary by college. Click here to see rates per college. The estimated average cost for college/course fees combined per semester is $365.00.

3 All undergraduate campus students are billed $300 per semester, along with other registration charges, to establish a Dining Dollars account, which is set up automatically on each student's Action Card. Dining Dollars can be used to purchase meals and snacks from all Bama Dining locations, select campus vending machines, and select off-campus facilities.  For more information, click here for Action Card.

5 Rate is per person for a 4 bedroom unit and includes: rent, utilities, base cable television, high speed internet and local phone services. For more information, click here for the Housing and Residential Communities web site.

6 If you will have an automobile/motorcycle on campus, you will need to purchase a parking decal. For more Information on Parking Services, click here.

7 In addition to the costs listed above, personal expenses, which will vary from student to student, should be considered. Student Financial Aid makes financial aid awards based on an estimated undergraduate dependent student budget (including personal expenses) of $12,335 per semester for Alabama residents and $19,490 for out-of-state residents.
